Abstract:
The Standard Model of particle physics and the standard model in cosmology are both in very good agreement with experiments and observations. However, they are in contradiction with each other, or, at the very best, they remain incomplete. To complement the remarkable work that is being done in particle physics to search for physics beyond the standard model, we will be studying different cosmological models and modifications to gravity. In particular, we will be exploring cosmological reconstruction methods, dynamical systems and future singularities. The early universe will be an epoch of particular interest, in which the intersection between particle physics and cosmology is crucial. We will be considering baryogenesis, leptogenesis and relic abundances in modified gravity models.
