  • Abstract:

This thesis proposal will allow us to study the properties and the dynamics of compact QED on the lattice, having in mind a sensible contribution to the understanding of other gauge theories, such as QCD. In particular, we will focus on the behaviour of the photon propagator and the corresponding Schwinger and spectral functions in the confined and deconfined phases. In addition, we include dynamical fermions and new algorithms to avoid topological freezing having in mind more realistic simulations.
